Past Paintings by Curtis Sneary

These paintings were selected because they were influential in the development of my style and focus as an American Artist. A few are commentaries on what was going on around me at the time, they were never meant to offend anyone; this is the way I was feeling this time in history. There is also the freedom of having an artistic license, to be able to juxtapose images and ideas without much explanation (poetry). I like to think of them as discussion/debating images. Based on the cartoon character Bugs Bunny. He ate carrots from a pesticide field causing death.
Based on the American stunt performer Evel Knievel. For his last feat he jumps over the White House.
From the movie Good Will Hunting starring Matt Damon, Robin Williams, Ben Affleck, Minnie Driver.
Based on the movie One Million Years B.C. starring Raquel Welch. Loana is her character.
Based on the toy Barbie and Ken. Communicating how the media takes the news to extremes.
Based on the toys Gumby and Poke. Poke is being driven irresponsibly by his driver, Gumby.

Based on the monster Godzilla. Human obsession with photographing everything with their phones.
Based on the toy Troll Doll. Tongue and cheek, just being silly playing with words.
